When in Rome....update old pics
Now that i'm exhausted, and i've found a place with fast USB service, i present pictures of Nice, Florence, and Rome.
Here is the Casino in Monaco. Big bucks here.... we were kicked out for wearing sandals....Jump ahead to Florence.... I'm enjoying gelatto.... It was my religous experience during the Easter weekend.
Strike that... make the Florentine skyline my religious experience....
More Florence, more Ponte Vecchio *famous bridge*
So I got a little carried away...
Way back to Nice, when posing in public like a moron is excusable.... we're all on holiday here....
First night in Nice after shopping. No posing involved whatsoever....
Bay of Monaco. Not sure if that's the acutal name for it. More Yachts here than.... well there are a lot of yachts.
Sunset in Nice...
Candied fruits in Nice market... Thanks go to Hilary's mom for reccomending it....
Murphey's Law of traveling abroad states that, in the event that someone wishes to expand their mind, take a pricey trip around the world, and 'miss out' on a year of college mayhem, the following will happen: liberal colleges will book amazing musical acts and perform feats of athletic achievement that will make all previous acts or athletic seasons seem unimportant or crappy by comparison. Case in point: Luther Men's Conference Championship in CC, Jack's Mannequin, and tonight's Guster concert.
Photo: me, in the Coloseum, listening to Guster with tears running down my tanned face. Here are some pics from last night, during our 5 hour stake out of the Irish Pub...
During our entertaining walk home.... not as many people crowding the colosium at 3am....
Some pics from today....
Sunset with the pope's house in the background.... for a guy who took the whole 'poverty and chastity' thing.... he's living pretty well....
Today we walked around, blogged a bit, went to the store, and walked our asses off.... The highlight of the Coloseum was when, upon noticing that EU students recieved huge discounts, I used my accent to pull of the Nottingham Student on Holiday routine... that's right... a bit of Hugh Grant, a little Tony Blair, and you've got a half-assed British Accent and three reduced tickets to the Coloseum.
We used our winnings to buy gelatto.
Trips to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the store again left us tired. Hilary and Aaron are back at the hotel watching Italian Job dubbed over on TV, and I'll more than likely join them after sending off some emails..
Sidenote* i've officially planned my 3 days alone, heading to Pescara on the Almalfi Coast... i'm staying at a B&B in the middle of downtown, about a half mile from the beach...
Vatican tomorrow, Sorrento for the 4 days after, then on my own before Rimini and back to Notts for the final month of EuroTravel.....
It's hard to believe that in 2 months, i'll be knee deep in 4th graders, wiping snot and falling asleep on the bus back from field trips... my time here has flown, so it's time to cram the most experiences as i can in the next 7 weeks...

i love you man.
Kevin,
I am sorry you had to miss the Guster concert, it was very good; I was in the first row. Also, I had to write an ethnography paper in language in society and I wrote mine on your blog postings and the different identities you portray. I got an A, so thanks.
I am jealous you get to go to the Almafi coast. I just looked at pics online from there a couple days ago and it looks amazing. I am trying to plan a backpacking trip to Europe after graduation and I want to go there.
Lastly, I am sad that you did not say anything about the pic liz and I took in Florida of the red stripe that reminded us of the last night we hung out. tear.
that is all, peace out.

Hello Kevin,
I am writing to tell you that I miss you. lots.
Guster was great, but would have been better if you were here. I promise you one guster concert is in no way better than traveling around europe for a year.
I have a big bandaid on my finger so it's hard to type.
also i got a new computer. its a mac...and new and shiny.
Just thought you'd like to know
can i have the exact date of your return? I really hope that it's before I leave for ecuador cuz maybe I could stand in the baggage claim of the MSP airport (yes? or chicago?) with a big handful of gerber daisies (my fav) and then i'd get to see you...
Anyway, I love you, and I'm glad that you are fully enjoying your last couple of months in Europe.
The good ol' u. s. o A misses you.
huggles and lollipops,
Linds
